Len Thornson was one of the greatest scorers the IHL has ever seen.  Len played 12 seasons with the Komets and appeared in 855 games.  Len holds the Komets all-time point record with 1,346 career points (465 goals and 881 assists).  Thornson won 7 IHL MVP awards, 3 league scoring titles, and 8 time all IHL team selections.  Thornson's jersey number 11 was later retired by the Komets.  Len Thornson was inducted into the Komet Hall of Fame in 1987.
