Terry Pembroke played in the most games in Komets history and scored one of the Komets most memorable goals in their history.
Pembroke has appeared in more Komet games than any other player, 864 games over 12 years. Terry accumulated 273 assists and 339 points during his career as a Komet. Pembroke also ranks 6th on all-time penalty minutes with 1,143. Terry also holds the club-record with 8 IHL All-Star games. Pembroke was a member of the 1965 and 1973 Turner Cup Champion Teams.
Pembroke scored one of the most memorable goals in Komets history. On Feb. 20, 1965, with about 25 seconds left in the first period, Pembroke took the puck off the face off deep in the Komet end and quickly turned and fired a wrist shot from the bottom edge of the face off circle. The puck traveled approximately 176 feet through the air and beside the Memorial Coliseum scoreboard before it hit Toledo goaltender Glenn Ramsay in the leg and deflected into the goal.
Terry Pembroke was inducted into the Komets Hall of Fame in 1987.
