Merv Dubchak played with the Komets for four seasons.  Merv twice broke the 100 point barrier during his career.  In 1964-65 he tallied 101 points and in 1965-66 he tallied 117 points and ranks 9th on the all time single season point list.  Dubchak ranks 16th for career assists with 243 and 7th for career total points with 588.  Merv Dubchak broke the 50 goal plateau three times and holds the all-time single season record with 72 goals in 70 games during 1965-66 season.  Merv Dubchak  was inducted to the Komets Hall of Fame in 1987.
