Marc Boileau began his career in 1953 at the age of 21 appearing in 38 games with the Cincinnati Mohawks of the International Hockey League scoring 12 goals and 33 points in 38 games. The center joined the Komets for the 1970-71 season in his 14th pro year following various stints in the IHL, AHL, WHL and the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings (1961-62, 54gp, 5g, 11pts). Boileau was appointed Player-Head Coach of the Komets for the 1971-72 campaign before coaching the Komets to the 1972-73 IHL Huber Trophy with a regular season record of 48-23-3 for 99 points. Boileau followed his regular season championship with an IHL Turner Cup in 1973. Boileau had a 5-year career in Fort Wayne as both player and head coach. He finished his lengthy pro hockey career as head coach of the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL in 1985-86 Marc Boileau was inducted to the Komets Hall of Fame in 2004.
